Dave Appears in Rose Parade on January 1

Don't miss the first three minutes of the Tournament of Roses Opening Ceremony live on January 1 on ABC, NBC, Travel Channel, HGTV and other channels.  Dave will be on the Honda/Wells Fargo float and says his portion is "Jump Jive and Wail" and will have with the Dancing With The Stars cast.  This "float" has a performance stage on it and will not go down the parade route because Honda's mascot (a 47 foot high robot named Asimo) will rise up and tip his top hat... kicking off the Rose parade theme of "Hats Off To Entertainment."

Dave will is joining many entertainers and millions of spectators from around the world in this Hats Off To Entertainment themed parade featuring the beautiful pageantry and tradition of magnificent floral floats, high-stepping equestrians and spirited marching bands.  Cloris Leachman is the Grand Marshall this year.

President of the 2008-2009 Tournament of Roses, Ronald H. Conzonire stated, "I chose the theme for the 2009 Rose Parade because the Rose Parade is a collection of America and the world's great entertainers, both past and present," says Conzonire.  "With such amusing Grand Marshals serving in the past, and with the wonderful bands, float riders and equestrians that participate every year, the 2009 festivities will pay tribute to all that is entertainment. In its many forms, entertainment touches all of our lives. It brings family and friends together and it brings joy to people everywhere."

The 120th Rose Parade themed Hats Off To Entertainment will take place on Thursday, January 1st, 2009 at 8 a.m. (PST). Following the Rose Parade, at 2 p.m. (PST), the 95th Rose Bowl Game will feature an exciting match-up between Bowl Championship Series ranked #8 Penn State and #5 USC.  For additional information you can visit the official website, tournamentofroses.com.

Dave Playing at an Inauguration Ball

One of the inauguration parties on January 20, 2009 will be held by the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, DC.  Dave will be appearing at the ball along with Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and others.  For more information, visit the Human Rights Campaign website.

On Tuesday, December 16, Dave appeared on the popular new Bonnie Hunt Show.  He chatted with Bonnie and played “Winter Wonderland” with his band and several songs with Bonnie’s band!  Check it out here to watch Dave’s national appearance and listen to a little holiday music.
